Maichou Lor
Maichou Lor, PhD, RN is an Associate Professor at the UW–Madison School of Nursing. She conducts community-engaged research to improve healthcare for people with limited English proficiency, with a focus on Hmong elders.
“My research is driven by the community, focusing on the issues they bring to the forefront,” says Lor. “The biggest barriers to healthcare access are around communication. So, one of my goals is to identify aspects of communication that we can enhance to improve the Hmong community’s access to healthcare.”
