Megan Zuelsdorff
Megan Zuelsdorff, PhD is a social epidemiologist and an assistant professor at the UW–Madison School of Nursing. Her research goals include identifying community-specific dementia risk factors; and identifying personal, community, and policy-based resources that promote successful aging.
“Difficult events and the stress processes that result are disproportionately experienced by socially disadvantaged communities,” explains Zuelsdorff. “Social disadvantage associates with stress, and stress associates with brain health and cognitive symptoms.”
